
One of the world's largest Internet trade systems Amazon on December 7 first delivered an order to the buyer through an unmanned aerial vehicle, according to the company's website with reference to its founder Jeff Bezos.
Delivery was carried out in the UK, and only 13 minutes passed between the moment of placing the order and its receipt by the client. The first recipient of the order with Amazon using the UAV was a certain Richard B., who bought the Amazon Fire TV and popcorn television prefix.
The company announced its plans to organize goods delivery of goods back in 2013.
Currently, this system is tested, called Amazon Prime Air, in the vicinity of Cambridge (Great Britain). Local authorities allowed the online retailer to experience drones in rural areas. Their routes are built along the GPS navigator, the operators do not participate in the regulation of the movement of the devices.
To deliver orders using the UAV, there is a restriction on weight - not more than 2.2 kg, in time the company promises to turn around no longer than in half an hour.
