
The Constitutional Court for the second time adopted a complaint filed by Politzkom Ildar Dadin and his lawyers Ksenia Kostromina and Alexei Lipzer for Article 212.1 of the Criminal Code (repeated violations at rallies). The relevant information is placed on the KS website.
The complaint states that the “rally” article of the Criminal Code contradicts the many provisions of the Constitution, in particular about the rights to freedom of assembly and freedom of expression of opinions, as well as about the inadmissibility of re -prosecution for responsibility for the same actions.
The first time Dadin and his lawyers tried to appeal Article 212.1 in the Constitutional Court at the end of last year, during the trial in the case of an activist. However, then the paper was rejected on some formal grounds. According to Interfax, the reason for the refusal was that at the time of the complaint there was no law that had not yet entered into force in relation to the activist.
Kostromin announced a repeated filing of a complaint on August 11 .
On December 7, 2015, the judge of the Basmanny District Court of Moscow Natalia Dudar sentenced Dadina under Article 212.1 to three years of general regime ( 

This is the first and, as far as is known, the only verdict on the “rally” article included in the Criminal Code in 2014.
Since September this year, Dadin served a term in the Karelian IK-7 in the city of Segezha.
