Judge of the Petrozavodsk City Court of Karelia Eduard Novoselov arrested the chairman of the regional branch of the "Memorial" Yuri Dmitriev for a period until February 13, 2017 in a fabricated case on the manufacture of children's pornography. It is reported by TASS.
The 60-year-old Dmitriev is charged with the item "B" in "parts 2 of Article 242.2 of the Criminal Code (the use of a person under the age of 14 for the manufacture of pornographic materials). The publicist faces from 8 to 15 years in the colony. The case is investigated by the city department of the TFR.
The “victim” in the case is the 11-year-old reception of Dmitrieva Natalya. According to the plot of the case, the activist from March 1, 2012 to September 28, 2015 photographed it "in order to make pornographic materials."
The social activist himself stated that he does not admit guilt.
In November last year, Judge Novoselov sentenced the deputy of the city of Suoyarvi Vladimir Kovarkin to a fine of 30 thousand rubles in the fabricated case of separatism.
Dmitriev was detained on the morning of December 13 in his apartment. As reports "7 × 7" with reference to a member of the board of the "International Memorial" and the Presidential Council of Human Rights Sergey Krivenko, a computer and a mobile phone were seized from a search from an activist.
On the same day, officials of the guardianship authorities took the adopted daughter of Dmitriev from school.
According to the ATS- INFO , the activist’s civilian wife, who is in the hospital after the operation, reported only one photo of a “certain property” imputed by her husband. She noticed that the picture was on Dmitriev’s home computer and no one posted it on the Internet.
On the eve of the detention, the wife added, it was found that in the absence of the owners in their apartment, unknown or unknown visited. Visiters did not abduct anything, but rummaged in things, and also turned on the computer.
A few days earlier, Dmitriev repeatedly called and asked strange questions about the "executioners" lists. "
Krivenko considered it likely that the detention of an activist was a provocation aimed at discrediting the "memorial".
A lawyer from St. Petersburg went to the social activist. Krivenko did not specify his name.
