55 years ago, on December 15, 1961, the court in Jerusalem passed a death sentence to Adolf Eichmann, who in 1939-1945 headed the Gestapo department, who was engaged in the "final solution of the Jewish issue." Eichmann was found guilty of crimes against the Jewish people, against humanity and war crimes. He was hanged on the night of June 1, 1962.
