The blockade of the Seima’s work began on Thursday, but the ruling party was able to collect the quorum necessary for making decisions and adopted the budget for 2017, as well as the controversial law to reduce pensions to former employees of Poland power structures.

The opposition claims that the vote was illegitimate, since it was held not in the main hall of plenary meetings, but in another room, which is not equipped with an electronic voting system. As Reuters notes, a similar situation in Poland has occurred for the first time since 1989, when this country abandoned communist power.
