The number of hawthorn concentrate from poisoning in Irkutsk to 58

The number of Boyaryshnik concentrate in Irkutsk by the concentrate at 21 hours local time (16 hours Moscow time) increased to 58. This was reported by Interfax with reference to the press secretary of the regional Ministry of Health Tatyana Lebedeva. Of the victims, 34 died in hospitals, the remaining 24 - outside the medical institutions.

The total number of dead and victims is 97. 38 poisoned remain in hospitals, one has already been discharged.

Earlier it became known that the governor of the Irkutsk region, Sergei Levchenko, announced Tuesday in the region during the day of mourning for those killed from poisoning. In addition, an emergency regime has been introduced in the region. In Irkutsk itself, the emergency mode was introduced on Monday.

Over the past two days, two workshops for the production of surrogate alcohol have been discovered in the region. The first was located in the country village. The sixth five -year plan in the Leninsky district of the regional center. In addition to the "hawthorn" there were also produced four brands of vodka. 47 plastic cans with surrogate were seized in the workshop. All products contained methyl alcohol (methanol) deadly for humans.

The second workshop acted in the building of the former dairy in the city of Shelekhov, a suburbs of Irkutsk. There they found containers with the "hawthorn", as well as the disinfectant "Vitasept" and the cleaning tool "Pure-S". Whether methanol is present in their composition, as of Tuesday morning, have not yet been found out.

The mass poisoning of the "hawthorn" in Irkutsk became known on Saturday. Most poisoning occurred in the Novolenino microdistrict. On Monday, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev demanded to tighten control over the sale of "all kinds of alcohol-containing products" up to the seizure of it from the turnover.

The case was opened under part 3 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code (production, storage or marketing does not meet the safety requirements of products that entailed the death of two or more persons through negligence). For this crime, the Code provides for up to 10 years of colony. The case was referred to the Central Glavk of the TFR. Two sellers have already been detained on it.
