In Vladivostok, an English teacher was placed under house arrest as part of a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting hatred or enmity). This was reported on December 20 on the website of the Open Russia movement with reference to the website of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee for Primorsky Krai.
According to the investigation, while playing volleyball on the sports ground, the accused “used phrases and phraseological turns that are regarded as a humiliation of the human dignity of a group of people united on the basis of nationality, in relation to representatives of a group of people identified on a national basis - Russians.”
Investigators issued a confession - the accused pleaded guilty.
