WADA made informant Stepanov to all international competitions

The Informer of the World Anti -Doping Agency (WADA) Russian athletics Julia Stepanova, who was not known due to sports results, has the right to act both at the 2017 winter championship in Belgrade and other international competitions.

Stepanova and her husband Vitaly in December 2014 acted as the main actors of the film by the German television company Ard "Secret Doping".

According to the authors, the films, Russian athletes systematically took prohibited drugs at the direction of their coaches. In the summer, Stepanova received individual permission to participate in international competitions as a neutral athlete and acted at the July Championship of Europe in Amsterdam, where she was injured . The International Olympic Committee (IOC), in turn, forbade Stepanova to perform at 2016 games due to past doping problems.

"Julia Stepanova, like Daria Klina, has the right to speak at all international competitions as a neutral athlete," the press service of the International Association of athletics federations told TASS.

Earlier, IAAF allowed the Russian jump in length to Daria Klishina to perform at all international competitions, including at the 2017 European Winter Championship, as a neutral athlete.

Stepanova in the fall received a financial grant from the International Olympic Committee to pay for her preparation for competitions.
