In one hundred villages of Yakutia, the sale of alcohol was completely banned. Initially, the ban affected 87 settlements, later 13 more were included in the list. Thus, the number of villages where the “dry law” is in force has reached 100. The adoption of the relevant laws is reported on the website of the state assembly of the republic.

The villages of Satagai, Cheryumche, Kysyl, Bulgunnyakhtakh, Toyon-Ary, Bykovsky, Yuryung-Khaya, Ezhantsy, Tabaga, Khapchagay, Kempendyai, Daban and Cherendey were among the new settlements with a complete ban on the sale of alcohol.

According to Kommersant , Yakutia also intends to increase fines for the illegal sale of alcohol. Currently, the maximum fine is 2,000 rubles.

Recall that 62 people died in the Irkutsk region from poisoning. According to preliminary data, they drank a perfumery cosmetic product, the so-called Hawthorn bath concentrate. A criminal case has been initiated, in which 11 people have been detained.

After the incident, Dmitry Medvedev ordered to withdraw "Hawthorn" from circulation or establish control over its sale. Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Khloponin said that bills to tighten the circulation of alcohol-containing products will be adopted in the near future.

The head of Rospotrebnadzor, the chief sanitary doctor of Russia, Anna Popova, proposed to suspend the sale of alcohol-containing products in the Irkutsk region, while she admitted that the ban could be expanded if necessary.
