They confirmed their involvement in the murder of policeman Vahi Khatsigov in the Oktyabrsky district of the Chechen capital and the theft of the car.

They also stated that they participated in the activities of the Islamic State. It is known about the student of the Grozny College Akrashev that his father served in the GRU special forces battalion of the West and in 2005 died in battle with the Mujahideen.

In total, five Mujahideenes participated in the battle on December 18. The fifth, as it was possible to conclude from media reports, was not injured. He surrendered and already on Sunday, according to the security forces, gave a confession. The name of this citizen, as far as is known, was not published.

It was also reported that four police officers died during the attacks, and another got to the hospital after the participants in the attacks shot down his car.
