Putin said that in Russia there was never state support for doping

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Investigative Committee and the Prosecutor's Office will finish the investigation of cases related to doping.

"The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and the prosecutor's office is investigating everything related to the use and use of doping, and, of course, will bring it all to a logical conclusion," he said, answering questions at a large press conference.

The President of the Russian Federation said that in Russia there has never been created and will not be any state system for supporting doping in sports, but there is a problem of doping.

“In Russia, it has never been created, it is simply impossible, and we will do everything so that this never can be, no state doping system and support for doping,” he said.

"Regarding WADA, I do not consider myself entitled to give assessments of WADA, this must do the International Olympic Committee, but absolutely for sure, I already said about this that the activities of any anti -doping agency, including WADA, should be transparent, understandable, verified," Putin said.

Putin also assumes that WADA Rodchenkov has long worked on assignment from abroad, and also insists on the need for transparency in WADA.

“This (Rodchenkov’s behavior) leads to certain thoughts that someone (abroad) led him there,” Putin said.

The head of state also called for clearing sport and culture of politics, the PLASTREVEN Political component in WADA. Putin is sure that WADA should work transparently, understandable and checked.

“I am sure that the activities of any anti -doping agency, including WADA, should be transparent, understandable, checked, and we must know about the results of the work,” Putin concluded.
