Rudomino in Moscow hosted the ceremony of the Prize “Master 2016” by the Guild “Master of Literary Translation” for the best translations of the works of foreign literature into Russian.
Ksenia Staroselskaya became the laureate of the Master Prize in the Prose nomination. She was awarded for the translation of the book by Adam Vodnitsky “Provencal Triptih” (Publishing House of Ivan Lumbach).
In the nomination “Poetry” , Georgy Efremov received the prize for the book “Thomas Ventzlov. Praise to the island. Selected poems. 1965–2015 ”(Publishing House of Ivan Limbach) and translations of poems by GITIS NORVILAS, JONAS AISTIS, Alfonsas Nika-Nilyunas (“ Foreign Literature ”2015, No. 1) and Natalya Vanhanen for the translation of the Cuban poets of Gaston Bakero, Sintio Vitier, Rhine Maria Rodriguez and Dulse Maria Loinas (“ Foreign Literature ”2015, No. 1).
Dmitry Karelsky was awarded in the nomination “Children's Literature”-for the translation of Katie Ostler’s book “Karma” (pink giraffe) and Olga Myoots for the translation of the books “My friend Persia, Buffalo Bill and I” Ulf Stark (Scooter), “Kaos Visiting and House” by Anna-Katarina Westley, Pilot and Little Prince Petra Sisa Sisa Sisa Sisa Sisa Sisa Sisa (Quarry-press), “I am just a dog” by Jutta Richter (Komapasgid) and a series of books by Gunilla Ingves about Mishka Bruno (Melik-Pashayev).
Since 2006, the Prize for the Literary Translation of the Master has been awarded the guild of “master of literary translation” with the support of the presidential center B.N. Yeltsin (Yeltsin Center) and the magazine "Foreign Literature".
