On December 25, the judge of the Leninsky District Court of Krasnodar, Stanislav Burenko, found Viktor Chirikov guilty of committing an administrative offense under part 1 of article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (petty hooliganism) and imposed on him the maximum punishment provided for by this rule - fifteen days of arrest. The meeting took place without a lawyer. OVD-Info was informed about this by Suren Ghazaryan.
Chirikov was detained on Saturday, December 24 in connection with the action on the Day of the Chekist - a wooden cross was erected on the bust of Dzerzhinsky ( action "New Chekist" ). The judge in the ruling indicated that these actions are “violation of public order, expressed in clear disrespect for society and entail damage to the memorial monument, by changing the appearance of the monument.” the same punishment received Blogger Aleksey Knedlyakovsky , who also, as the court decided, took part in the action, and the text of the decision was exactly the same. Chirikov is going to go on a hunger strike, Knedlyakovsky has already announced it.
