Russia limited the sale of alcohol -containing products

In Russia, a ban on the sale of alcohol -containing household products has been introduced for 30 days. The text of the resolution is posted on the official website of Rospotrebnadzor.

Retail trade will be suspended for all alcohol -containing non -food products, with the exception of perfumes and glass washing liquids, the department said.

On December 23, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev instructed the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova to suspend the sale of non-food products with alcohol content over 25 degrees for up to 30 days.

"If you think that this decision is now justified, then, probably, you need to adopt the resolution of Rospotrebnadzor and the sanitary and epidemiological supervision, well, to monitor how it is realized on the eve of the large New Year holidays," Medvedev said. The prime minister recalled that system measures are currently being prepared aimed at streamlining the turnover of alcohol -containing fluid as a whole.

According to the latest data, 76 people in Irkutsk became victims of poisoning with concentrate for baths "hawthorn" in Irkutsk. There are 18 victims of poisoning in hospitals. 20 people were discharged over the past week, nine left medical institutions arbitrarily.

The Investigative Committee continues the investigation of the criminal case of the death of people under Part 238 of the Criminal Code (production, storage, sale of goods and products that do not meet security requirements that entail the death of two or more persons through negligence). To date, 23 suspects have been detained.

In the framework of the criminal case, 23 people were detained, including the deputy head of the Rospotrebnadzor department for the Irkutsk region Mikhail Luzhnov - the case was opened against him under part 3 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code (negligence, which entailed the death of two or more persons).

The mass poisoning in Irkutsk became known on December 17. Most of them occurred in the Novolenino microdistrict. A state of emergency is declared in the city and the region.
