Actress Carrie Fisher dies

Actress Carrie Fisher, best known for her role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars film epic, died on December 27. She was 60 years old.

The death of the actress was reported by her relatives. A few days earlier, Fisher had been hospitalized after suffering a heart attack .

• Carrie Fisher rose to fame with her role in the first film of the Star Wars epic (1977), in which she played Princess Leia Organa. At the time of filming, she was 19 years old. Fisher went on to play Leia in four more Star Wars films, including episodes VII (2015) and VIII (scheduled for release in 2017).
• In the 1990s and 2000s, Fisher worked in Hollywood as a "script doctor", that is, she worked on the revision of scripts. Among the films in which she participated in this capacity were episodes I-III of Star Wars, Lethal Weapon 3, The Wedding Singer, Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
• Fisher has written several fiction and autobiographical books. The last one, The Princess Diarist, was released in 2016.
