Alfa-Bank became a shareholder of VTB

Alfa-Bank was one of VTB minority shareholders. This was reported in the materials of the State Bank.

According to December 23, 2016, Alfa Bank belongs to 1.04% of VTB shares. Prior to this, a credit institution was not one of VTB co -owners.

In addition, in the VTB shareholders the St. Petersburg Bank with a share of 1.26%appeared. Rosselkhozbank reduced its share from 2.73% to 1.41%, and a package of other minoritarians decreased from 29.77% to 28.17%.

The largest shareholder of VTB is a dewed with a share of 60.93%. The State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan owns 2.95% of the shares of the Russian State Bank, the Swiss Credit Suisse - 2.36%.

Alfa-Bank was founded in 1991 by businessman Mikhail Friedman and his partners. As of December 1, 2016, the financial organization in terms of assets took 7th place in the banking sector of the Russian Federation.

At the end of September, VTB’s shareholders entered the Russian Bank, controlled by businessman Yuri Kovalchuk. The share of “Russia” in VTB capital was 1.26%.
