An ambulance was called to a special detention center for the person arrested for the cross on the bust of Dzerzhinsky

Kuban activist Viktor Chirikov, who went on a hunger strike, was arrested for 15 days on charges of petty hooliganism, and an ambulance was called to special detention center No. 1 at 110 Sadovaya Street in Krasnodar. This was reported on December 28 by “Voice of Kuban”.

According to the publication, during a telephone conversation with a member of the “Environmental Watch for the North Caucasus” Dmitry Shevchenko, Chirikov said that there were 11 people in his 11-meter cell. Chirikov reported that many of his cellmates smoke and the premises are not ventilated.

At the same time, it became known about the deterioration in the health of the artist Alexei Knedlyakovsky, who had previously been arrested in the same case and had been on a hunger strike for the sixth day. According to his wife, Knedlyakovsky continues to be kept in extremely difficult conditions.

Chirikov and Knedlyakovsky went on a hunger strike in protest against the court’s guilty decisions in the case of the action on December 20, during which a wooden cross was erected on the monument to the founder of the Cheka, Felix Dzerzhinsky, in honor of Chekist Day. The main evidence for the prosecution in court was a photograph with two dark silhouettes, in which it was impossible to recognize Chirikov and Knedlyavsky.
