Ukraine has introduced new sanctions against Russia

The National Security and Defense Council (National Security and Defense Council) of Ukraine imposed additional sanctions against individuals and legal entities of the Russian Federation. This was reported by the NSDC website following the results of the meeting on Thursday.

The restrictions were introduced "in connection with the ongoing hybrid aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine."

New sanctions relate to persons who are elected to the State Duma "based on elections in the Crimea and Sevastopol", members of election commissions, Ukrainian enterprises in the Crimea, which were "re -registered under Russian legislation," TASS quoted. In addition, restrictions will affect "officials of Russian law enforcement agencies and courts involved in the illegal detention of Ukrainian citizens in Russia."

The National Security and Defense Council also announced sanctions against former leaders of Ukraine, who are wanted and hidden abroad and "involved in the financing of terrorist activities and aggression."

Earlier, Kiev urged all countries not to recognize the legitimacy of the elections to the State Duma because of the vote in the Crimea, RIA Novosti recalls.

In September 2015, Ukraine announced the imposition of sanctions against Russian individuals and legal entities. The sanctions list included 388 individuals, among which were the employees of TASS, RIA Novosti, Izvestia and Russian Newspaper, Ruptly information agency, View. RU, NTV television company, Channel One. At the same time, sanctions were applied in relation to 105 legal entities, including the Almaz-Antei concern, Moscow, Gazprombank, Channel One, NTV, Russia 24, Aeroflot and others. Later, the sanctions list was repeatedly replenished: it was replenished by hundreds of individuals, including Crimea Prime Minister Sergei Aksenov, LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky, LDPR leader, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, leader of the LDPR.
