1927 Benedikt Sarnov was born

90 years ago, on January 4, 1927, the critic and literary critic Benedikt Mikhailovich Sarnov was born. His profound and original studies on Mandelstam and Zoshchenko were written "on the table" and were published only after the disappearance of Soviet censorship. Later, such books by Sarnov as the four-volume Stalin and Writers, the two-volume autobiography There Was No Boredom, and The Solzhenitsyn Phenomenon were published. In the post-Soviet years, Benedict Mikhailovich showed himself as a brilliant publicist. Some of his articles were published on our website, and we keep a grateful memory of him.
