Chinese scientists have developed a paper that opposes both water and fire. It is reported by Shanghai Daily.

The new material withstands the temperature of up to 200 degrees Celsius, repels water, even if the upper layer is damaged, and is also resistant to spots from milk, coffee, juice or tea. At the same time, this paper is flexible and durable.

The development of the material was led by a group of researchers under the leadership of the professor of the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences Zhu Innsze. Scientists have already applied for the appropriate patent.

According to Zhu inczze, new material can be used, for example, for advertising materials outside the premises, since it does not affect the rain and was able to. Mass production of such paper will help reduce its cost, the scientist added.
