Around the Florida Airport

At the Fort Lleoddale-Hollywood International Airport, shooting occurred in Florida. According to local authorities, five people were killed, eight were injured. According to ABC News , nine people are injured. One person was detained by law enforcement officials. It is assumed that the detainee is a shooter who did not have accomplices.

The shooting occurred in the second terminal of the airport, in the zone where passengers get luggage. According to ABC News correspondent, the luggage compartment was not under the protection of the airport security service at the time of shooting.

During the shooting at the airport was Ari Fleisher, a former spokesman for ex-US President George Bush Jr.. She described the incident like this: "Shots were heard. Everyone rushed off." He later said that the situation at the Airport "Calm", but the police do not allow to leave the cordoned zone.

According to the British newspaper The Guardian , one of the eyewitnesses published on Twitter a photo from the scene. It shows how a bloodied person lies on the floor, and a policeman stands next to him.

TASS, citing CNN, reports that a man who opened firing at the airport arrived from Alaska on an airplane and put a weapon in baggage.

A source in law enforcement agencies said that the man indicated in the documents that he was carrying firearms with him. The suspect took him after receiving baggage at the Florida Airport and opened fire.

The motives of the attacker are not yet able to install. “We are at the early stage of the investigation. At present, the sheriff is leading a leading role in it.
