Kadyrov’s press secretary did not see a threat in Daudov’s post about the “Caucasian Knot”

The press secretary of the head of Chechnya, Alvi Karimov, commenting on the post of chairman of the parliament of the republic Magomed Daudov about the “dog Shved”, said that he did not see him as a threat to the editor-in-chief of the publication Grigory Shvedov. It is reported by RBC.

“Daudov did not write anywhere that Shvedov needs to be pulled out. My personal opinion: Shvedov really wants to be remembered. It is said about the dog “Swede”, but the Swede dog or what? Well, let him consult with his lawyers,” Karimov said.

Earlier, the editor-in-chief of the Caucasian Knot, Grigory Shvedov, said that he considered this post a threat both to him personally and to other journalists.

In an interview with Novaya Gazeta, he said that lawyers were analyzing Daudov's post for corpus delicti under Part 3 of Article 144 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on obstruction of professional journalistic activity.

In addition, in an interview with the BBC, he added that he is currently discussing with lawyers the possibility of filing an application with the Investigative Committee and the prosecutor's office with a request to check the statements of the speaker of the Chechen parliament.

Earlier, Chairman of the Parliament of Chechnya Magomed Daudov posted on his Instagram an image of a dog with the inscription “How to untie the “Caucasian knot”?”. In the message, he, among other things, stated that the “Swede” needed to “pull out a couple of fangs of “wisdom”, and shorten the tongue to standard sizes.”

The text does not directly mention the Shveds, but the speaker of the Chechen parliament uses the word "Swede" with a capital letter. According to Shvedov, the post is written in such a way "that the reader should have no big doubts about whom it is about."
