The development of information technology had and will have many deep consequences for humanity. But the Canadian journalist Michael Harris decided to analyze at least one of them: as a new network reality deprives us of the opportunity to at least be alone with ourselves - to calmly think and dream freely. In the philosophical book “With everyone and no one: the book about us is the last generation that remembers life before the Internet” (published in the publishing house “Mann, Ivanov and Ferber” in 2015), the author looks with some sad children and adolescents, because they are already deprived of the advantages of childhood without gadgets and social networks. And there are such advantages, and they are undeniable, says Harris.

We stick toy trucks in our hands, we get a sock that are propagated from their feet in return, swallow the soremes in the gaps, and then fall on the belly again, trying in vain to distract the child from the iPad. But what to do, the tablet shines, but we do not.
