According to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for Buryatia, a rush on the heating main occurred in the Oktyabrsky district, in the village of Svetly. More than 40 people participated in the emergency recovery work.
“During the restoration work, the heat supply to consumers did not stop, and the heat carrier was supplied according to a temporary scheme, with the exception of houses located on a closed hot water supply system. To ensure the required level of make-up at the Ulan-Ude CHPP-2, from 11:30 a.m., the supply of hot water to these residential buildings was limited.
The TGK-14 team found the accident site, restoration work is underway, the generating company said.
As of 15:15 (10:15 Moscow time), the pipeline rupture was eliminated. At present, the heating network scheme has been assembled and the coolant is being brought up to the standards. Hot water supply will be restored promptly, upon reaching the design parameters, the power engineers specified.
Heat supply sources: Ulan-Ude CHPP-1, CHPP-2 and boiler houses are operating normally. Add, today, according to weather forecasters, in Ulan-Ude -25°C. The temperature will drop to -31°C at night.
