The Alexandrov Song and Dance Ensemble, many of whose members died in a plane crash near Sochi on December 25, 2016, announced a recruitment to fill the vacant positions of soloists and artists of the choir and ballet.
Auditions will be held daily from 16 to 25 January in the ensemble building in Zemledelchesky Lane in Moscow.
According to Gazeta.Ru , the first performance of the new ensemble will take place on February 23 at the State Kremlin Palace.
Persons from 18 to 45 years old with academic vocal (choreographic) education and professional experience are allowed to participate.

- Members of the Alexandrov Ensemble were on board the Tu-154 aircraft of the Russian Defense Ministry, which crashed in the Black Sea on the morning of December 25 after taking off from Sochi airport. There were 92 people on the plane, 64 of them were artists of the ensemble; they all died.
- The reasons for the crash have not yet been established. According to unofficial data, versions of a technical malfunction and pilot error are the priority.
- Shortly after the disaster, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced that a new selection would be held after the New Year. “As it has always been, the best were selected and got there, I think that this will be the case,” the minister said then.
