Experiments of art in the museum "The project" New Leaders of Regional Development "(2014).
The project demonstrates the economic potential of territories transferred in the Soviet years of the prison-camp system.
At the exhibition, among other things, a new series of watercolor works of the team and miner-kinetic sculpture will be presented. Such a sculpture is based on the use of energy waste remaining from the work of computer servers of the blockchain technology, which is often used for production (“mining”) of cryptocurrency.
In addition, David Gissen’s lecture on his project “Vandom embankment” (2012 - to the present) will have a third issue of the newspaper and organized a series of lectures by the director of the History of Gulag Romanov, the researcher and architect Francesco Sebregondi and the Goldsmit’s college, London, London -London, will be prepared. University).
The program "Processes. Arts of art in the museum ” organize the VAC Foundation and the Gulag History Museum. It is conceived in the hope that art and theoretical and practical knowledge incorporated into it can make the memory of political repression productive, stimulate a public discussion on this topic, and, possibly, become the basis for a permanent artistic and theoretical platform.
The program includes a number of shows of artwork related to discussions, a cycle of meetings with artists, historians and theorists, as well as the publication of several issues of the newspaper. The first project of the program was the exhibition of Mikhail Tolmachev “Pact of Silence” .
