MMOMA will present a retrospective Valery Aizenberg

January 24 at the Moscow Museum of Contemporary Art (MMOMA) in Ermolaevsky, 17 will open an exhibition “Migratio” (“Migration”) Valery Aizenberg.

The name of the retrospective of one of the most famous Russian artists, the founder of the Escape program, which was presented in the Russian pavilion at the 2005 Venice Biennale, has several levels of reading, reflecting the semantic layers embedded in the exhibition by the artist and curator, Leonid Bazhanov.

“Migration” is a consonant with the name of the project and the concept close to Valery Aizenberg. This is due not only to the extensive geography of the artist’s life (Ukraine, Russia, America, Israel), but also with rapid movements in creativity, the Brownian movement in the field of art.

The exposition will present works created by Valery Aizenberg over the past 40 years. The exhibition will not build them in the characteristic retrosprication of the line of life, but groups in a special installation way. Related to one plot, work from different periods of the artist’s work closed on themselves, giving birth to an instant emotional signal - MIG - a fleeting flash, which gives rise to the acceptance of a work of art.

Synopsis, prepared by the artist for all groups of objects in the exhibition, serve as the key to understanding the installations and reveal the desire and love of the author to observe, detachment and analytical distance - Ratio .

The exhibition "Migratio" Valeria Aisenberg in MMOM will last until March 5.
