VTsIOM: 23% of Russians receive a salary in envelopes

The salary of 10% of Russians consists completely of the “black nala”, another 13% receive part of the income officially, and part “in envelopes”. This follows from the results of a survey conducted by the All -Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion (VTsIOM).

70% of respondents said they were fully received by the official statement.

In 2016, the share of those who officially receive their income changed from 71%to 77%, in November-December it was 74%. The authors of the survey also note that at the end of 2016, the relevance of the problem of unemployment for Russians decreased.

According to the expert of VTsIOM Oleg Chernozub, the objective indicators of unemployment, as well as the reflection of this phenomenon by public consciousness, tell us that the threat of loss of work is currently not a factor that determines the behavior and mood of Russians.

“Over the past months, these indicators have improved. At the same time, it should not be forgotten that the same situation also developed at the end of 2015, but already in February -March 2016 it has noticeably worsened,” the expert noted.

The All-Russian VTsIOM survey was conducted on December 24-25, 2016 in 130 settlements of 46 regions of Russia among 1.6 thousand respondents. The statistical error does not exceed 3.5%.
