Hello!
One of the main events since the beginning of the year is that the whereabouts of Ildar Dadin became known: he was taken to a colony in the Altai Territory, which Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova dubbed “one of the best.” True, the relatives of Kazan resident Ilmir Imaev, who was placed in this colony for a car rally with Hizb ut-Tahrir flags, clearly do not think so : they report that Imaev is subjected to bullying there.
While there was no news of Dadin, participants in single pickets in his support were detained in Moscow. A few days later in Moscow, more than 40 participants in a national gathering in support of political prisoners were detained .
Ukrainian citizen Stanislav Klykh was sent to prison, sentenced to twenty years for participating in hostilities in Chechnya, where he allegedly was not. A resident of Tver,Andrei Bubeev , convicted of two aggressive publications on social networks, and a resident of the Sverdlovsk region, Evgenia Chudnovets , imprisoned for publishing a video of bullying a child (before that she was placed in a punishment cell) were taken to the colony. It is still unknown whether any of them reached their destination.
In Moscow, four people were detained for reading a parody of the “conceptual Constitution,” and protocols were drawn up for two of them in their absence . Meanwhile, the court returned the cases opened for the same reading in December to the police .
In Moscow, the police did not allow the distribution of food to the homeless at the station, and also detained the organizer of the “In the subway without pants” action (he was in the subway, but in pants), and in St. Petersburg they tried to stop the bicycle parade of Father Frosts and Snow Maidens.
Moscow region blogger Yan Katelevsky was fined 15 thousand rubles for an action against police brutality (the court spent more than 15 hours considering the case of a single picket).
After a 15-meter sinkhole formed on a street in Ufa, into which two cars fell, residents took to the street demanding that the authorities recognize the nearby residential buildings as unsafe and resettle them. The authorities responded: one of the members of the initiative group was accused of organizing an unapproved rally, and then fined 10 thousand in the absence of the accused and her defense lawyer.
In Krasnodar, the court confirmed the ban on holding a march in support of victims of homophobia.
In Chechnya, on the contrary, residents continue to be driven to public rallies: this time, relatives of those killed in Grozny during an attack on police officers in December received orders to go to a rally against the Islamic State.
At the last minute, the Russian government appealed the ECHR’s decision to pay compensation to Yaroslav Belousov, convicted in the Bolotnaya case.
The ECHR, in turn, proposed recognizing violations in the case of Dmitry Buchenkov, who has been in custody for more than a year in the Bolotnaya case, despite the fact that he himself and his relatives claim that he was not on Bolotnaya Square on May 6, 2012.
In Chelyabinsk, the stay in a psychiatric hospital for Alexei Moroshkin, who was accused of calling for separatism, but was declared insane based on the results of an examination, was extended by six months. The medical history and opinion of the attending physician, from which it follows that Moroshkin is not dangerous to others and there is no need for his stay in the hospital, were not convinced by the court.
In Simferopol, FSB officers detained an activist of the Ukrainian Cultural Center and his wife after a search. They were both taken for questioning to the FSB, where they were kept for several hours without a lawyer. As it turned out , the woman was being investigated under the article on calls for extremist activities.
In St. Petersburg, nationalist Nikolai Bondarik was sentenced to five years probation in the case of inciting hatred for a post on the VKontakte social network about the murder of boxer Ivan Stanin. In Sevastopol, a local resident was given a two-year suspended sentence for inciting hatred towards Spartak fans.
In Rostov-on-Don, unknown persons attacked journalist and Left Bloc activist Vladislav Ryazantsev. And the Tomsk activist, who wrote a statement about the attack after holding a single picket against homophobia in Makhachkala, was told by the Ministry of Internal Affairs that no one attacked him. How exactly he is not attacked can be clearly seen in the video .
Krasnodar artist Alexey Knedlyakovsky, who was imprisoned for 15 days before the New Year for installing a cross on a bust of Dzerzhinsky, spoke about the difficult conditions in the special detention center. The chairman of the Chelyabinsk branch of PARNAS, Andrei Linev, also had to celebrate the New Year in captivity; he spoke about how he received seven days for photographs of women in Nazi uniforms. St. Petersburg web programmer Dmitry Ugai, who studies Indian philosophy, told how he was persecuted for a lecture on yoga, which the police considered illegal missionary work.
Several trials are expected on Wednesday, January 18: Dmitry Ugay (for a lecture on yoga), Maxim Panfilov , accused in the Bolotnaya case, the organizer of a rally in Zheleznodorozhny near Moscow , a member of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Alexander Goryachev, as well as the Belarusian anarchist Nikolai Dedok , detained in Lithuania at a gathering in support of Ildar Dadin.
