Complaint against warning to the Administrative Center of Jehovah's Witnesses rejected

On January 16, the Moscow City Court dismissed the Jehovah's Witnesses' complaint against the Prosecutor General's Office's warning about the inadmissibility of extremist activity issued to their Administrative Center. This is reported on the website of the Witnesses.

Earlier, on October 12, 2016, a similar decision on a complaint against a warning from the Prosecutor General's Office was made by the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow. The Prosecutor General's Office itself issued a warning on March 2, 2016. On April 29, the organization filed a complaint with the Prosecutor General, but did not receive a response from him within a month.

The organization notes that earlier, when demanding that the materials of Jehovah's Witnesses be recognized as extremist, the prosecutor's office objected to the participation of the Administrative Center in the relevant processes. Now, the warning against the Administrative Center states that 88 publications of Jehovah's Witnesses have been recognized as extremist.

If the warning is not recognized as illegal, and the violations indicated in the warning are not eliminated, the organization may be liquidated.
