
In 2017, 38% of the leaders of the largest world companies are confident in the prospects for the development of their business in the coming year, while in 2016 35% of respondents thought, the PWC survey testified. The corresponding press release entered the editorial office of Republic.
At the same time, 29% of respondents count on the growth of the global economy in the next 12 months (27% thought a year earlier).
As the PWC President Bob Moritz specifies, “optimism is spreading around the world again, including the UK and the USA, where, despite the forecasts of falling promotions as a result of Trump’s victory in the elections and despite pessimism in connection with the decision of the UK to withdraw from the European Union, the confidence of the largest leaders in the growth of their business has strengthened compared to 2016”.
It is noted that top managers are still concerned about economic uncertainty (82%), excessive regulation (80%) and a lack of qualified specialists (77%).
In total, 1.4 thousand people from 79 countries participated in the survey.
Earlier on January 16, a study by Edelman Trust Barometer was published , according to which the trust of business leaders around the world has been up to a minimum since 2001: 37% of respondents trust the top managers of the largest companies. The study participated in 33 thousand people.
