According to Interfax, the aircraft was in service with the 63rd Bomber Aviation Regiment and crashed while taking off from the Adler airfield on November 15, 1942.

The aircraft of the Ministry of Defense Tu-154 crashed on the morning of December 25, six kilometers from the runway of Adler airport in the Black Sea. There were 92 people on board: military personnel, artists of the Alexandrov Song and Dance Ensemble, who were supposed to play a festive concert for the Russian military, nine journalists (employees of Zvezda, NTV and Channel One) and the head of the Just Help charity foundation Elizaveta Glinka ( Dr. Lisa).
