In St. Petersburg on January 19, at an anti-fascist march dedicated to the eighth anniversary of the murder of Stanislav Markelov and journalist Anastasia Baburova by the Nazis, police detained 76-year-old activist Igor Stepanovich Andreev. This is reported by the Telegraph.
The detainee was taken to the 78th police station. According to the publication, Andreev, who is known as "Stepanych", was detained under Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses - he participated in the march with a poster "Killed: Stanislav Markelov, Nastya Baburova. We won't forget, we won't forgive." According to the police, he violated the order of the event by walking and not standing during a solo picket.
