According to the Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences, the head of the Laboratory of the Hydrology of the Institute of the Earth's Corean SB RAS Sergey Alekseev, experts examined 45 water allocations, including wells and wells in the private sector and on the territory of hotel complexes. Studied and groundwater sources. Scientists paid special attention in the analysis of water to the content of nitrates, nitrites and ammonium. Contaminated water -fines were located in the immediate vicinity of the coastal zone of Lake Baikal.

“Nitrogen -containing compounds are the result of wastewater, the decay of organic substances. Their presence in underground waters indicates technogenic pollution ... ”, said Alekseev.
