The inauguration of Donald Trump will be remembered, of course, not a wretched spectacle called "Inaugural concert", but by powerful protests shook the country. Only in two cities - Washington and Los Angeles - a million people entered the street. Hundreds of thousands participated in the protests in New York, Auckland, Chicago, Denver, Boston, tens of thousands in San Francisco, San Diego, Austine ... People protested in all 50 states and in 75 countries of the world, including the USSR countries and in the homeland of the first lady-in Slovenia.

Trump expected completely different. If it is already pounced on a Twitter on Alec Baldwin, Meril Streep and authors of the brilliant musical "Hamilton", then the total boycott of show business and his participation in the protests cannot but annoy him. The only world -class celebrity at the concert of the Lincoln memorial was actor John Voit, who declared , pointing to the statue of Lincoln that she was smiling, "knowing that America will be saved by an honest and good person who will work for the sake of the whole people."

Those who have entered the protest are also a people. The president wrote about him on Twitter like this:

I watched protests yesterday - and I had the impression that the elections had already taken place! Why didn’t all these people vote? Celebrities terribly harm the common cause.

In less than two hours, as he - I am sure, according to the urgent recommendation of advisers - recovered :

Peaceful protests are a distinctive feature of our democracy. Even if I do not always agree, I recognize the right of people to express my views.

But, I think, deep down, he still believes that there are two opinions: "mine and the wrong."

The phrase thrown by him in response to protests is actually very characteristic and very dangerous. Exactly the same was said by the Russian government to the "swamps": the elections were passed, the president was elected, after fighting, they did not wave their fists. Yes, the president is elected, but this does not mean that he can now do everything that he pleases him. It is civil society that should prevent him from dismantling the conquests of the Great American Liberal Revolution of the 60s.

Republicans have never had such an opportunity before. They now have a white house in their hands and both chambers of Congress, and soon the balance of power will change in the third branch - the Supreme Court. The lower house was under the control of the Democrats for 40 years in a row - from 1957 to 1997. Senate-26 years old, from 1957 to 1981. Of these 26 years, the 12th president was a democrat. The Republicans were the last time under Eisenhower, and then only two years.

There is nothing more distant from the truth than the allegations that Donald Trump is going to build a "social state". The social state was built by Franklin Roosevelt, in which compulsory old -age pension and medical insurance for the poor and the elderly, and Lindon Johnson, who destroyed the racial segregation and declared the poverty war, appeared. The mass civil movement of the 60s laid an end to the discrimination of women, achieved the rights and freedoms that the current generation of Americans considers them belonging to the diapers. All this can now come to an end.

The promises of the "greatest creator of jobs that the Lord only created" can only be said with bitter irony. The Washington Post Counted 282 of his promises and entitled their list as follows: "I will give you everything." Inaugural speech fully confirmed this characteristic. But will the American worker agree to receive a Chinese salary or buy cars and refrigerators three times more than now? Maybe there is a third way to return production to America? But the people have long said about this path: to eat and sit down.

"The future is a carefully neutralized present." Once in my youth I read this phrase in a novel that was not allowed to publish Soviet censorship and spread in typewritten copies. Then this novel seemed to us a satire on our gerontocracy and stagnation. And now it can become the reality of America. And intellectuals will be sent for barbed wire so that they do not corrupt children, referring to the "extremely common opinion about the fatal role of the so -called molasses in a sharp change in the climate, about their responsibility for increasing the number of miscarriages and a percentage of barren marriages, for the homeric outcome of some domestic animals and for the emergence of a special variety of domestic bugs - namely, the bug of winged."

Some such a prospect seems exaggerated by Alarmist. But I remind you that the closest adviser to Trump Nyut Gingrich proposed reviving the commission to investigate anti -American activities, and the idol and oracle of the Trumponists Rash Limbo compared the election of Trump with the defeat of Japan in World War II - it remains to dump the atomic bomb to the headquarters of the Democratic Bomb.

Many continue to rely on the famous American system of checks and counterweights, on the fact that Congress, they say, will not become "a furious printer." They refer to the Republicans who strictly interrogated Rex Tillerson about his attitude to Russia and sanctions, Senators John McCain and Lindsay Graham. But both have already stated that they would support the appointment of Tillerson for the post of Secretary of State. That's the whole front of the princes. I do not want to say that it was a pose or my own PR. Just the meaning of the Senate hearings is not to fail the candidate - they seek public statements, which can then be remembered. There are always dissident members of the congress. But they are not able to play the role of a counterweight to the president and the parliamentary majority.

The system of checks and counterweights is not a reinforced concrete structure with reinforcement inside. It is very fragile and is maintained in working condition by public consensus. But today the consensus is violated. Trump is the president of the non -systemic one. He does not at all understand how the authorities are arranged, and creates his apparatus as a reign of a private company. Now he is actively hiring advisers from among personal friends - why not a cooperative "Lake"?

Now, after mass protests, it's time to remember what Barack Obama spoke about in his farewell speech. And he said, first of all, that democracy is an empty phrase, if not to fight for it. It happens that you have to pay blood for it, and not only in war. He talked about the "authoritarian rulers in foreign capitals" who do not believe in freedom, but believe in the power of weapons and propaganda. And he urged in no case to give up.

It is the wide civilian movement that can become a counterweight to Trump's tyranny. And, perhaps, only it.
