year 2012. Law against denial of the Armenian genocide in France

Five years ago, on January 23, 2012, the French Senate approved a law criminalizing the denial of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire in 1915-1918. However, in February this law was repealed by the Constitutional Council as contrary to the right to freedom of speech, expression and opinion.
