Awarded the Nos-2016 Award

Today, January 24, the final debates of the Nos-2016 literary prize were held at the Moscow Gogol Center Theater. The main prize - 700 thousand rubles - was awarded to Boris Lego for the book Twilight Stories.

The live broadcast of the debate, in which the jury and experts of the award took part, as well as the audience in the Gogol Center Hall, was conducted on the website of the Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation .

The jury of the award included theater director Konstantin Bogomolov (chairman of the jury), film critic Anton Dolin, translator of Russian literature, Agnieshka Lubomir Piotrovsk, historian, head of the Oral History of the Foundation Dmitry Sporov and Doctor of Philology, professor of Moscow State University Tatyana Venediktova.

Expert Council of the Prize: Literary critic Anna Narinskaya, philologist Konstantin Bogdanov and creator of the bookstore "Falanster" Boris Kupriyanov.

The moderator of the discussion was Irina Prokhorova, editor -in -chief of the New Literary Review magazine, co -founder of the Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation.

In addition to Boris Lego in the short list, according to the results of 2016, they included:

• Evgeny Vodolazkin - "Aviator";
• Kirill Kobrin - “Sherlock Holmes and the birth of modernity. Money, girls, dandy of the Victorian era ”;
• Sergey Kuznetsov - “Kaleidoscope: Consumables”;
• Vladimir Martynov - "Book of Changes";
• Alexandra Petrova - "Appendix";
• Sergey Lebedev - "People of August."

Each of the finalists receives 40 thousand rubles each.

The prize of reader sympathies (200 thousand rubles), following the results of online voting, was won by Igor Sakhnovsky, the author of the novel “Freedom by default”.

The Nose Award (New Literature) was founded in 2009 by the Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation to identify and support new trends in modern artistic literature in Russian. The main feature of the bonus is the openness of the decision -making process. An indispensable condition of the jury is the need to publicly argue the choice of finalists and the winner in the framework of the current show in the presence and with the active participation of journalists, writers and the cultural public.
