
The Moscow City Court decided to block the French video service Dailymotion in the claim of the Friday! TV channel, Gazeta.ru reports with reference to the Gazprom Media press release.
During the year, the Gazprom-Media holding, which owns the Friday! TV channel, sent several complaints against Dailymotion demanding to stop the illegal broadcast of the programs, Magazzino, Stsanka and others. However, there was no reaction from video hosting.
The decision on the “eternal blocking” was made by the Moscow City Court on December 2, 2016, the publication said.
“Representatives of Dailymotion did not appeal at the specified time. The court decision was sent to Roskomnadzor to carry out the constant blocking of video hosting, ”the report said.
Dailymotion is the world's third video hosting in the number of users, yielding to YouTube and Vimeo. They use 300 million people around the world. The service by 90% belongs to large Vivendi media holding and 10% to the Orange operator.
