Samara volunteers will teach to save the historical environment of cities correctly

The forces in the provincial cities in the provincial cities were invented by volunteers in Samara back in 2015, since then the Tom Soyer festival (the name refers to the famous episode with painting the fence) managed to export to Buzuluk and Kazan. In 2017, the number of cities where the festival will be held will increase. On March 17-19, the All -Russian School of Tom Soyer Fest will be held in Samara, where activists will be taught for free how to launch an action in their region. Registration of participants is already open.

First of all, volunteers work with dilapidated houses that do not have the official status of the monument: “We do not want to compete with restorers, although we focus on their practices and regularly resort to consultations, but the main thing we would like to pay attention to the fact that not only monuments of history, but also ordinary urban buildings, residential buildings, from which historical are made, need care. context. The monument, torn from it, surrounded by high -rise buildings, loses its meaning. But it is these houses that are now dying, ”emphasizes one of the project managers Andrei Kochetkov. “We work with a historical environment, which the state practically does not deal with financing.”

“First of all, we want to teach our activists and those who decide to join them, how to work efficiently with sponsors and volunteers, so that the preparation process that we have occupied in 2015 for six months in 2015 to reduce to a month, because technologies are already approximately clear and it is not necessary to spend so much time,” says Andrei Kochetkov.

The second task: to gather together people who are interested in such a topic, and think together how to develop a festival. The art of minimizing bureaucratic obstacles is equally important. “In Samara, we were lucky that all approvals quickly passed, but since work with officials is associated with certain difficulties, they will also not be superfluous to talk about them separately. In addition, part of the historical buildings that we are restoring are in private, part in municipal property, as a rule, is a communal apartment, one of our tasks is to learn how to restore their owners in the process of restoring their owners, and we will also definitely talk about this, ”the organizers emphasize.

The schedule and thematic plan of lectures are not yet ready, but it is already known that the head of the Center for Applied Urbanism Svyatoslav Murunov, deputy dealership of the Higher School of Urbanism VSHE Vitaly Stadnikov, organizers from all cities where Tom Sawyer Fest, as well as activists engaged in the implementation of close in spirit of projects has already passed.
