I remember this case on this subject. And here is another case for you. He brought the statistics according to which the number of accidents involving drunken drivers grew after the abolition of the zero was ground 22%, and then wrote so, I quote: "The drivers have an illusion that, having drunk a glass of vodka or a glass of beer, they will remain unpunished."
In both cases, we, in fact, are dealing with the same phenomenon: any weakening of legislation is perceived by the Russian person as an indulgence. Nurgaliev allowed the police. The Duma allowed to drink. And now the Duma allows you to beat wives and children. And deputies with lawyers can explain to us as much as you like that the abolition of criminal liability for domestic violence is done to restore justice and eliminate distortions in the legislation. And different other people can tell us as much as you like that plopping a child or wife is not any violence, but the ancient tradition of the Russian people. But it is perceived by those who raise their hands on their loved ones will be completely unambiguous: now you can raise your hand. The deputies allowed.
And the consequence of this permit will be very simple: if a person hit his wife or child once, he will certainly do it again. But if the threat of criminal punishment could stop him for the first time, then he would not have arisen the desire to repeat him.
Not to mention the fact that there can be no justice in equalizing a fight on the street and beating in the family. To beat your loved ones, of course, where a more serious crime is than to beat a stranger on the street.
And it is unfortunate that deputies of the State Duma do not understand this.
