As a result, the action of opponents of the transfer of the Council of the Russian Orthodox Church was held in the form of a meeting with deputies of the Legislative Assembly. The deputies Boris Vishnevsky ("Yabloko"), Alexei Kovalev ("Fair Russia") and Maxim Reznik ("Growth Party") took part in it. The action took place without the use of sound amusing equipment and party symbols. Some participants held white balloons in their hands with the inscription "NOT ROC". About two thousand people came to the action.

The police observed what was happening, but the action did not interfere.

"Our Isaac!": A rally in the defense of the museum

Speaking to the audience, Vishnevsky announced the creation of the public movement in defense of the Isaacievsky Cathedral. Opponents of the transfer of the cathedral emphasize that they intend to hold new shares. After the end of the event, some participants went to the St. Isaac's Cathedral. About 150 tickets to the museum during the action were distributed by human rights activist Dinar Idrisov.

The members of the Noda and the Orthodox also held their shares. There were no things between supporters and opponents of the transfer of the Council of the Church.

On January 12, it became known that the St. Isaac's Cathedral will be transferred to the free use of the Russian Orthodox Church for a period of 49 years. The contract must be concluded with the Russian Orthodox Church no later than two years after the signing of the order, that is, until the end of 2018. Prior to this, an inventory of all museum funds should be carried out.

On Thursday, the Vasileostrovsky District Court received a statement of claim from twenty residents of St. Petersburg , including Vishnevsky. The Committee on Culture of St. Petersburg, the Russian Orthodox Church in the person of the Moscow Patriarchate and the State Museum of the St. Isaac's Cathedral were involved as interested parties.

However, the court refused to accept the claim for consideration , referring to the fact that the order of the Committee for Property Relations of St. Petersburg "is not a decision on the transfer of the Cathedral for the gratuitous use of the Russian Orthodox Church. The court found that the Committee only approved the Plan for the transfer of the Museum-Monitor "Isaacievsky Cathedral". At what level the decision should be made in the ruling of the court is not said. The applicants intend to challenge the court ruling.
