“The special regime of the counter -terrorism operation was introduced within the administrative boundaries of the city of Khasavyurt on Sunday at 8:20 Moscow time. The security forces are looking for participants in illegal armed groups and their accomplices, ”the National Anti -Terrorism Committee said in the operational headquarters.

A source in the power structures of the region said that the security forces blocked one of the private houses in the city.

“Inside, two militants previously settled. They are offered to lay down weapons and go out without a fight. They do not agree yet, ”the source said.

The source later clarified that during the shootout the militants were killed, and the house burned down. None of the security forces was injured.

As the interlocutor of the agency specified, the militants are members of the so -called Khasavyurt bandit group.
