Eisenstein's mini-retrospective will be held in Moscow

The KARO cinema network and the Moscow Cinema School arrange in February special shows of the films of Sergei Eisenstein.

“Every week, a well-known cinema, curator of the Modern Cinema course of the Moscow Cinema School Vsevolod Korshunov, together with an invited expert, will, after watching the film, will analyze it from the point of view of the cultural and historical context, analyze the features of the film language and handwriting of the director and other creators of the paintings, as well as talk about the importance of work and its influence on the further film process,” the organizers said.

Experts will be: Kinoved Num Kleiman, cinema historian Vladimir Rabrodin, film critic, chief editor of the Cinema Section Chalta.ru Vasily Koretsky . And film critic Anton Dolin .

The shows will be held at the Caro 9 Atrium cinema, beginning at 19:30. The Eisensenstein mini-retrospects program has the first two and last two films of the director:

• February 1 , “Stack” (1924), experts: Kinoved Num Kleiman, Kinoved Vsevolod Korshunov;
• February 8 , "Babric" Potemkin "(1925), experts: cinema historian Vladimir Robrodin, film expert Vsevolod Korshunov;
• February 15 , Alexander Nevsky (1938), experts: film critic Vasily Koretsky, Kinoveda Vsevolod Korshunov;
• February 22 , “Ivan the Terrible” (1945), experts: film critic Anton Dolin, Kinoveda Vsevolod Korshunov.
