The European Court of Human Rights ordered the Russian authorities to pay 13 thousand euros in compensation to the brothers Anzor and Shadid Gubashev, accused in the case of the murder of Boris Nemtsov in Moscow, reports with reference to lawyer Musa Khadisov. RIA Novosti
“The court upheld our complaint and ordered compensation of 6.5 thousand euros each in favor of the Gubashevs. We complained about the conditions of detention of the defendants: delay in bringing them to court, violation of diet, use of handcuffs,” Khadisov explained.
According to investigators, Anzor Gubashev participated in surveillance of Nemtsov, and Shadid drove other accused around Moscow and the Moscow region. They also helped the murder accomplices escape.
Politician Boris Nemtsov was shot dead on the evening of February 27 on the Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge in Moscow. Accused of hired murder, Zaur Dadaev, Anzor and Shadid Gubashev, Temirlan Eskerkhanov and Khamzat Bakhaev were arrested, the case is being considered by the Moscow District Military Court.
