Mercedes recalls new Sprinter Classic minibuses in Russia: on some you need to reinstall the cardan shaft

The Russian representative office Mercedes-Benz is recalling 3236 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Classic (909). Review cars sold from February to December 2016, Rosstandart reports.

It is clarified that the reason for the recall was the probability of wearing a front wheel hub. In the case of a malfunction, running qualities, as well as the controllability of the vehicle can significantly deteriorate, as a result of which the unexpected occurrence of a critical traffic regime is possible.

In dealerships at the specified Sprinter Classic, a check will be performed and, if necessary, a reinforced rudiment of steering.

All repair work for the owners of the vans will be carried out for free.
