
The share of citizens who believe that Russia is currently on a par with the most influential world powers reached 41% - the maximum since June 2007 (it was more only in January 2008 - 45%), according to the Levada Center website .
37% of respondents are of the opposite opinion. The reason for this they called, first of all, Russia's lag from advanced countries in economic development (23%). It was difficult for 23% of the survey participants.
However, the majority (39%) of respondents are confident that almost all developed countries are now related to Russia as a competitor. The fact that in the perception of these countries of the Russian Federation is an enemy was said by 30% of respondents. At the same time, 16% believe that developed countries relate to Russia as a partner or even a friend (3%).
More than half of the participants in the survey spoke in order for the country to continue its policy, regardless of sanctions (67%), and 62% are sure that Russia needs to be tuned up in a living in the contexts of these restrictions.
The survey was conducted on January 20-23 among 1600 people in 137 settlements of 48 regions of the Russian Federation. The statistical error does not exceed, depending on the indicators, from 1.5% to 3.4%.
