Canadian Immigration Minister Ahmed Hussen said that those who are forced to stay in Canada due to US immigration restrictions will receive temporary asylum in the country.
“I am ready to assure those who may find themselves in a difficult situation in Canada that I will use my authority as a minister to provide temporary shelter to those who need it,” Reuters quoted him as saying.
Recall that Donald Trump signed an executive order restricting the entry of refugees from conflict zones into America. Protests have been held at American airports where foreigners arriving from Muslim countries are denied entry.
