At the exit from the building of the Constitutional Court in St. Petersburg, the police detained the wife of Ildar Dadin Anastasia Zotov and three activists-for the transition of the road in the wrong place. On that day, the Constitutional Court considered the complaint about the unconstitutionality of Article 212.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which provides for a criminal punishment for “repeated violation of the established procedure for organizing or holding a meeting, rally” (Dadin is the only convicted under this article). Most of those who wish could not get into the courtroom: the places were occupied by students of the Institute of Law, who promised to give grades “automatic” for presence.

The FSB officers detained the lawyer Nikolai Polozov in Simferopol and interrogated him within two hours. The lawyer claims that he was "seized three people in broad daylight on the street, pushed into the car, one of them later showed the certificate of the FSB investigator." The lawyer was interrogated about the case of his client Ilmi Umarov, the deputy head of the Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people*, who is suspected of violation of the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation (Article 280.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). According to Polozov, he was forced to reveal the lawyer’s secret in order to make a witness and get out of the case.

January 27, Friday

The Sverdlovsk Regional Court left the blogger Ruslan Sokolovsky to the decision of the district court to extend the term of detention until February 22. The blogger appeal about a change in the preventive measure was rejected. The reason for initiating a case against Sokolovsky was a video in which he plays in Pokemon Go in the Temple on Blood in Yekaterinburg. Lawyers insisted that the blogger does not pose a danger to others, and an examination has not yet been conducted on his rollers. Sokolovsky, who was under house arrest, was transferred to a pre-trial detention center at the end of October due to the visit of the bride, who came to congratulate him on his birthday.
