A few days before, the authorities - just in case, obviously believing that Navalny and officers will run away - used the accelerated methods of delivery of not yet convicted and still defendants to the court. The trial began to drive the trial two weeks ago, depriving lawyers of the opportunity to participate in other cases. However, no one expected such a forced rush - like presidential elections tomorrow.

Evening January 30 . Peter Officer was hospitalized in one of the hospitals in Moscow with suspicion of acute pancreatitis. His lawyer Svetlana Davydova reports that officers will not be able to appear on the court on February 1, and notifies the court with the corresponding telegram. It became bad to feel the officers a few days before. The lawyer sent documents on the state of his health to the court on January 26, indicating all the necessary details by which the court could verify the information. Nevertheless, the court decided to force the policy of Alexei Navalny and Peter Officer on Wednesday under the escort.

Morning January 31. Officers are urgently prescribed from the hospital in Moscow. An unknown check came to the hospital, and the entrepreneur was simply kicked out of there for no reason.

At the same time, Alexei already had a plane ticket, like his lawyers; We definitely were going to fly to Kirov. The bailiffs were discussed on the phone for a long time with the superiors whether they have enough this ticket, or still you need to take Alexei to their management. Another hour and a half later the bailiffs accompanied Alexei home to take his things, and then all together went to this very management. Moreover, we went by car of Alexei - the bailiffs were generally ready for anything, if only Alexey went to the department with them. They seemed to have strong pressure from the authorities: they called phones about once per minute. After that, they will accompany Alexei to the airport. Two weeks ago, a comic story happened with Davydova. She wanted to take ahead of the process of Kirovles, since she had to go to the Salekhard colony to another client. But literally within a few hours in the Salekhard colony, where she was going, they suddenly announced a quarantine (the administration even notifies the lawyer about this with a separate fax). And quarantine means that all meetings of prisoners with defenders and relatives are prohibited.

The last meeting in the “Kirovles case” took place on January 25. In the following days, Davydov’s lawyer was busy in another case, and at the next two meetings the defendants themselves did not appear to the court, but the judge issued a decision on the drive only the second time. The argument was that Navalny and officers did not provide certificates of illness or employment.

Prior to this, the meetings went every day, and the employment of lawyers on all other cases suddenly abolished: the defenders noted that the court could artificially “drive”, trying to pass the sentence as soon as possible.

Two weeks ago, from the conversations of the Leninist court, lawyers learned that the chairman of the court of Zaitsev recently went to the Supreme Court and they told him that Navalny and officers should receive real terms, they would not let anyone go. The lawyers unveiled this information at the meeting itself, arguing a petition for the withdrawal of a judge of Vtyurin, who obeys the chairman of the court. Judge Vthurin expectedly rejected his divert.

Recall that the Supreme Court of Russia at the end of 2016 canceled the sentence to Navalny and Officer in connection with the decision of the European Court of Human Rights, who recognized the actions of the defendants "indistinguishable from ordinary commercial activities." Then the Armed Forces sent the case for a new consideration to the Leninsky District Court to another judge, Vtyurin. Judge Blinov over the years received a promotion to the deputy chairman of the court and, thus, became the head of Vtyurin.
