Progress Party activist fined 10 thousand for picketing near the presidential administration

The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow fined Progress Party activist Nikolai Kasyan 10,000 for a solo picket outside the presidential administration building on January 19. Kasyan writes about this on Twitter. According to him, having come to court on February 2, after several hours of waiting, he learned that his case was considered without him on February 1.

Individual pickets are held outside the presidential administration building to draw attention to the trial in the “Case of Kirovles” in the Leninsky District Court of Kirov.

On January 19, during a series of single-person pickets, the police detained Nikolai Kasyan and Alexander Turovsky. At both, protocols were drawn up on violation of the procedure for holding public events. During the arrest, Nikolai Kasyan's phone was roughly snatched. Kasyan wrote a statement in connection with this.

Later, defender Sergei Vasilchenko told OVD-Info that Turovsky was also fined 10,000 rubles. The hearing in his case also took place in his absence on 1 February. At the same time, on January 30, Kasyan and Turovsky were informed that they would be able to get acquainted with the cases on February 2.
